Building a B2B SaaS Platform to Solve Inefficiencies in the Design Market

Seoul Design Project began as a design community with traffic but no clear business model. The original service created a space for designers to connect, but it did not generate sustainable revenue or solve the deeper inefficiencies of the design outsourcing market.

As the Product Manager, I led the 0-to-1 pivot from a community-led model into a B2B SaaS platform designed to connect clients, agencies, and internal operations through a structured product ecosystem.

The core problem was market friction: vague client requests, fake bidding, unclear budgets, repeated feedback loops, lost meeting minutes, and inefficient agency matching. I redesigned the product architecture around three connected systems: RFP Maker, Project Maker, and an admin back office.

RFP Maker converted vague client emails into structured project data, including goals, budget, scope, output, timeline, target users, and progress. Project Maker then supported transparent bidding, project management, meeting records, and feedback tracking, allowing both clients and agencies to work with clearer expectations.

The pivot created measurable business impact. The platform generated over 200M KRW in revenue, reached 2.2B KRW in cumulative revenue by the second year, reduced feedback time by over 70%, reduced meeting time by over 55%, and improved contract success rates by over 50%.
