A livestock investment platform overhaul supporting 280M KRW sell-out and 2.25B KRW Pre-A funding.
Fintech Product Design & Management for Data-Driven Livestock Investment
Bankcow is a livestock-backed fintech platform that allows users to invest in cattle, support real farmers, and track potential returns when the livestock is sold.
As the Product Manager and sole product architect, I led the transition from a speculative “blind funding” model to a data-driven investment experience. The original service suffered from information asymmetry, making it difficult for users to understand risk, expected return, and the value of each livestock asset.
I redesigned the funding logic around transparent decision-making. Cow genetic data, health information, rearing environment, expected grade probability, funding schedule, expected return, estimated loss rate, and insurance coverage were integrated into the product detail page to help users evaluate each investment with confidence.
This overhaul transformed Bankcow from an experimental MVP into a more credible investment platform. After the redesign, funding-related customer service inquiries dropped by more than 70%, from 30–40 cases per month to under 10, while average product detail page retention increased from around 20 seconds to 2 minutes.
The new data-driven funding system also supported major business outcomes, including a 280M KRW sell-out in 21 minutes, 2.25B KRW in Pre-A investment, and recognition from Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups for its innovative business model.
